Jesus gave us these commands written above. One of our goal at Carbondale is to do what Jesus commanded: Love each other. This web page is one of the small ways we can show you how much we love you and care for you.
The youth group at Carbondale is comprised of students in the 7th -12th grades. Our group comes from many different schools districts in the area. Some of the schools represented are: Tulsa, Berryhill, Allen-Bowden, Sand Springs, Jenks and Glenpool.
Our students are very active not only in the youth group but in many activities in their schools. Football, basketball, soccer, cross country, vocal music and band are some of the many activities in which the kids at Carbondale participate.
You may be wondering what types of activities and functions the youth group participates in. Well, there are many. Here’s a few of them: Summer Christian Camps, Leadership Seminars, Vacation Bible School, Mission Trips, Sunday Evening Youth Activities, Devotionals, Camp Outs, Lock-ins, and many, many more.
Not only do we involve ourselves in many activities, but our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes strive to build a strong foundation of Christianity through Bible study. Our increased knowledge of the scriptures will help us through our daily walks of life. One of the goals of those working with the group is to provide the teaching and tools to enable each young person to develop and grow their own personal faith in Jesus Christ. This will enable them to go out in to the world and remain faithful to the commands of God and to live a full, happy Christian life.
