Do I Have to be a Member to Get Involved?
Bible Classes
Mini-Missions (See pictures of our latest Mini=Mission HERE)
Mini-Missions are one-time service projects designed by one of our members who sees a need and wants to mobilize a small group to help them address it. We have raked leaves for seniors, repaired porches and ramps, helped after natural disasters in Moore and Joplin and worked in the Thrift Store for Hope Harbor in Claremore. Anyone is welcome to join us on a Mini-mission to make a difference quickly with many hands to help!
Children and Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth of our church meet for Bible Classes and special times of fun and fellowship. They are active in the Mini-Missions we conduct and often lead these service projects.
Family Emphasis
You don’t have to be married to be a member. We do have many members who have been married for 50, 60 and even 70 years! Whether you are happily married, recently divorced, or single, we are all connected to a family and therefore need family guidance from time to time. We offer Prepare-Enrich counseling for engaged couples, special Sunday Evening Workshops each Fall for families (past years have helped Parents in Pain, Blended Families and Married Couples) and special “Good to GREAT Marriage” sessions through Connecting Fathers and Families next door. We also offer Love and Logic Parenting classes to teachers and community parents interested in improving their parenting skills.
Personal Growth
Bible Class teachers will often offer reading schedules and study guides for your personal spiritual growth. We also offer Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University materials and workshops during the Fall each year. The course can also be taken online. Members receive login credentials for access to Right Now Media, a virtual “Netflix” for over 15,000 videos offered free of charge.
